Adam Nessim, MD is the founder of The Premed Consultants and one of the most trusted mentors in the premedical advising space. He is a physician, former admissions insider, and elite MCAT tutor with over a decade of experience helping students earn acceptance to U.S. medical schools. Dr. Nessim graduated from Cornell University with a 4.0 GPA before attending Albert Einstein College of Medicine, and he was formerly a national instructor for one of the major test prep companies before founding The Premed Consultants about eight years ago. He has personally mentored thousands of students through every stage of the process, including MCAT preparation, GPA repair, application strategy, personal statements, secondaries, and interview preparation, with students consistently gaining admission to highly selective MD and DO programs.
Dr. Nessim completed Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation residency at Montefiore and is in the Interventional Spine and Musculoskeletal Medicine Fellowship at NYP Cornell/Columbia. His advising style is calm, honest, and highly strategic, focused on helping students understand how admissions decisions are actually made and how to position themselves effectively. As an MCAT tutor, he is known for teaching clear, repeatable thinking frameworks that drive real score improvement, particularly for students who have struggled with standardized tests. As a mentor, his priority is confidence, clarity, and execution — giving students a realistic plan, holding them accountable, and guiding them through one of the most competitive processes in higher education with precision and care.
